Deckbuilding is just fun, digital or analogue. My rack is filled with so many iterations from clank over cubitos to arnak. These indie games combine the two popular. Roguebook is the latest entry in the ever-growing deck-building roguelike genre. Roguebook is yet another deck-building indie roguelike in the vein of Slay the Spire, but it manages to stand out thanks to some innovative mechanics. Yet I'm really hungry for Deckbuilders since the first time I played Dominion. In Richard Garfields Roguebook, there are loads of rewards that players can get from taking on the extremely difficult wall monsters in the Gem Mines. Roguebook's Card Battles Brilliantly Build Upon M:TG and Slay the Spire. Never tried any fancy modes, just choosing one of the chars and try to find some way to make it through alive. It's really more meditative then anything else, but still fun for me. Part of the reason why I played so much StS is that it's the perfect game to play on my tablet when going to bed. I "only" have 70 hours in Roguebook, but given how many of these games I've played now, to find one this good was just pure joy. While the card combat delivers repeatable fun, the Switch may not be the best home for the deck builder. So much, in fact, that I ended up going down a dark road looking for StS-like games, like Hand of Gilgamesh, DreamGate and even sank 20 hours into the excellent (but naughty, and non-native) Neoverse. I played 100 hours or so of StS and loved it. Slay the Spire might be my most played game of all time. Roguebook - Fugoro, Merchant of Wonders Fantasy Violence, Mild Language DLC Nintendo Switch Roguebook - Fugoro, Merchant of Wonders This item will be sent to your system automatically after. It surpasses its own inspiration - I'd rather play this than Slay the Spire any day of the week. That comment just cost me 16 Euros.
